1452 How Did We Nose? COVID Adaptation of Our Nasal Fracture Service

Abstract Introduction Nasal fractures are a common ENT emergency that present to ED typically with history of trauma. They can leave behind functional problems breathing and be cosmetically very deforming. For this reason, they need managed appropriately by the specialist team. In UHS, Southampton Hospital these patients were initially followed up Care UK but during COVID, in order minimise patient contact we came modified initiated follow pathway. (PIFU) Method Based on commonly agreed departmental guidelines: We looked at statistics from 2019 compared it data August – October 2020 reviewed all who presented via GP us nasal visa image telephone review face meetings over 3-month period. Results Despite lower attendances months lockdown still had 48 3 i.e., nearly 4 every week. 50% did not initiate up. Of third required MUA which one was under general anaesthesia. All treated within 21 days. Conclusions Our management pathway is compliant guidelines despite some consultations calls reviews.
